She offers 14 years of experience from Jamba Hawaii. She is an avid athlete and health and wellness enthusiast. When she’s not out meeting with clients you can find her weightlifting, hiking, paddle boarding, taking spin classes, reading and spending time with her family.
Malia Kennedy brings her experience as HiHR’s Client Solutions Manager. Malia understands her projects completely and at depth, providing first-rate organizational and administrative services with a rigorous, unwavering approach to customer satisfaction. Malia’s presence on the team is integral to the thorough, world-class service for which we are known. When she’s not in the office she enjoys surfing and spending time with her family.
Jarrett joins Hawaii Human Resource as an Implementation Consultant and holds a Bachelors of Science in Hospitality Management from Orlando Florida. In addition he is also a member of SHRM. His team-oriented, fastidious approach to HR makes him a perfect addition to Hawaii Human Resources. He enjoys working out, the beach, baking, movies, and walking around Waikiki.
Chanel brings a positive attitude, high energy to Hawaii Human Resources Implementation department. Working closely with clients she’s a perfect fit to our team. When she’s not in the office she enjoys dancing hula, going to the beach and spending time with her family.
Joesph Muldowney is a strong technical resource in payroll administration and supporting multiple HRIS platforms. His multi-state payroll expertise and the care and focus he exhibits for his clients are an enormous asset to the team at Hawaii Human Resources and all of our clients. Joesph is also a huge baseball and football enthusiast.
Hailing from Washington state, Kenny Kimbel is a born leader with a background in collegiate government, office management, and sales. He is energetic and detail-oriented, crafting ideal solutions for each project he takes on and bringing fresh ideas and dedication to the HiHR team. Kenny also possesses a set of skills in web and desktop software development, having deployed vital business and sales components for dozens of clients. He enjoys basketball and golf, and has coached Peewee basketball teams.
Tony Malone is passionate about guiding businesses through a multitude of benefits complexities so businesses are in compliance with the surrounding issues regarding employee benefits and Healthcare Reform. Tony comes to HiHR with international work experience as well as local experience working, the predominately non-profit insurance carrier in the State as a consultant. He is an active member of SHRM, NAHU, The Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, and the COCH Young Professionals (YP Program); he is also a licensed Health and Life Producer in the State of Hawaii and PPACA Certified. In his free time he enjoys outdoor activities and traveling.
Alika offers a wealth of experience and joins Hawaii Human Resources as a Assistant Director of Benefits. He has seven years of experience working as a Benefits Manager at Maui Divers Jewelry. Alika also holds a BA in American Studies from the University of Washington. When he’s not in the office he enjoys photography and bodysurfing.
Jean comes to HiHR as a Senior Benefits Specialist and brings her expertise from the hospitality industry. Her excellent knowledge of benefits allows her to expertly administer and execute a long list of HR functions. She is an out-of-the-box thinker and an efficient, creative, hard-working, team player, and we are honored to have her at HiHR.
Ryan Tanaka comes to Hawaii Human Resources with broad experience working in a variety of human resources administration roles, including payroll and benefits administration. He has more than four years of PEO experience and is our go-to expert for benefit administration and supporting client benefits needs.
Jenny comes to Hawaii Human Resources with eight years of Human Resources experience. As our Benefits Specialist she is one of our go-to experts and supports client benefit needs. She can expertly administer and execute a long list of HR functions as well. On weekends, she enjoys going to her kids’ soccer games and a fun day at the beach.
With a degree in Business Administration from Portland State University, Rosalyn got her start in HR over ten years ago, quickly gaining experience and expertise in a number of HR, staffing, and employment firms in Hawaii. Most recently, she has joined Hawaii Human Resources as an HR Manager. Her résumé shows an amazingly comprehensive set of skills, and well reflects her tireless commitment to exceptional HR management and customer service, and we at HiHR and each of our clients is lucky to have her on board.
As Hawaii Human Resources, HR Manger, David brings 17 years of Risk Management and always goes the extra distance to add the HiHR touch. He’s currently a mentor at risk students. When he’s not in the office or speaking with clients, David enjoys photography and automobiles. David also instructor at the University of Hawaii Manoa for PHR preparation and is on the board of directors for the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation.
Carrie Perdue-Graham carries a wealth of expertise and experience in human resources, having lead the HR departments at four major local businesses. Her energy and encouraging attitude are inspiring, as are her leadership skills and genuine care for others. Carrie holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Human Relations with emphases in HR Management and Training Development. Carrie is also a certified Professional Coach and Society of Human Resource Management Professional, and holds a Trainer Certificate from the American Society of Training and Development. She enjoys helping the environment by participating in numerous beach cleanups with her friends and family.
Elaine Johnson has extensive experience in human resources, payroll and benefits, and comes to Hawaii Human Resources with seven years of PEO experience. In her previous position as a senior level executive in human resources, she was responsible for providing exceptional customer service to clients, building strong relationships and providing sound advice for difficult employee situations. Having experience that spans many industries gives her the ability to adapt to each client and understand the issues that sometimes plague them.
Since 1995, Sharla Tang has been honing her business management and human resources skills at local businesses. Add a BS in Apparel Product Design & Merchandising, a minor degree in Business Administration, and a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management (all from the prestigious Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawaii and Manoa), Sharla’s skills are a second-to-none resource for HiHR and our clients.
Jenell has over 10 years of experience in Human Resources and Accounting Services which includes payroll, benefits, employee relations, training, accounts receivables/payables, collections and account management. She holds an A.S. in Business Administration/Human Resource Management from Columbia Southern University and is currently enrolled in their Bachelors program. Jenell enjoys volunteering with fellowship committee at Hickam Gospel Service, beach, barbecuing, karaoke, game night with friends and family. A wife of an active duty service member, and is originally from New Jersey. Jenell is also a member of SHRM Hawaii.
Melanie comes to Hawaii Human Resources with a wealth of experience in business administration, hospitality, knowledge management, and multiple facets of human resources work. With a bachelors degree in Human Resources Management from the Shidler College of Business and experience with local businesses, Melanie’s team-oriented, fastidious approach to HR makes her a perfect addition to Hawaii Human Resources’ HR Support team.
Born and raised in Hawaii, Kati trekked to the mainland to get her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and work as a payroll specialist and technician, bookkeeper, and position control analyst at a number of California companies before returning to work in Hawaii. Diligent, detail-focused, and with an impressive depth of skills, Kati expertly handles payroll and ensures unmatched quality of service for HiHR customers.
Sharon Watari brings more than 34 years of experience with local companies on Maui coordinating human resources, managing payroll and engineering, and successfully executing countless other administrative and business development functions. Sharon’s history in hotel management gives her an edge in navigating a complex network of client needs to best ensure their success, and our staff and clients alike are lucky to have her at Hawaii Human Resources.
Born and raised in Honolulu, Christina brings almost 17 years of valuable experience in payroll and benefits to Hawaii Human Resources, coupled with superb customer service skills. Christian is always ready and willing to offer her expertise to anyone in need of her assistance, always bringing happiness, patience, positivity to our work. She is fluent in Cantonese, and brings novel and unique perspectives to workplace tasks, driving innovation for herself and others.
Tom comes to HiHR with nearly 20 years of accounting and HR experience. Merging a background in finance with a decade of Human Resource experience, Tom bridges a vital threshold in many client companies - providing invaluable insight and direction as both a strategic resource and a day-to-day tactical sounding board. Responsible for many key accounts, Tom meticulously manages payroll, benefits and accounting functions.
Carl joins Hawaii Human Resources as a Payroll Specialist. He holds a BS in Business Administration; he has also worked in payroll for a local construction company. When he’s not in the office Carl, enjoys being physically active, being outdoors, traveling and experiencing other cultures.
Nahelani holds a BA with honors in International Relations from Swansea University of Wales. She brings her experience from as a former Committee Clerk at Office of Senator Clayton Hee at the Hawaii State Legislature. Her hobbies include surfing, running races (10Ks, Great Aloha run, fun obstacle and mud races), and spending time with her family. Originally from Oahu’s north shore, Nahelani left to UK at age 6 with her mother and returned after graduating from college. When she’s not busy managing her workloads at HiGroup and UH Richardson School of Law, she’s out volunteering at the River of Life and the YWCA.
Relley Araceley joins Hawaii Human Resources as our Administrative Assistant. He holds a BA in Political Science and Philosophy from University of Hawaii at Manoa. As a former legislative aide, Relley brings much legal research, community relations, and policy drafting experience to our team. When he’s not juggling busy schedules he enjoys playing basketball, football, soccer, swimming and hiking.
Suzy joins Hawaii Human Resources as our Executive Assistant to President, Harry Byerly and Executive Vice-President and Co-Owner, Scott Meichtry. She manages their calendars with ease, works on special projects, performs office management duties and assists with organizing special events for the entire HiGroup ohana. She is an out-of-the-box thinker and an efficient, creative, hard-working, team player, and we are honored to have her at HiHR. When she’s not in the office, Suzy enjoys swimming, kayaking, cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
